TSOTNE ZEDGINIDZE'S SYMPHONY NO. 1 TO PREMIERE IN BERLIN

On December 1, 2025, the Berliner Philharmoniker will host a special guest performance featuring the Kammerakademie Potsdam, conducted by François Leleux, with renowned violinist Lisa Batiashvili. The highlight of the evening will be the German premiere of Tsotne Zedginidze's Symphony No. 1, a work that has already garnered international acclaim.

An Evening of Musical Mastery

The concert, taking place at the Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie Berlin at 20:00, will showcase a diverse program:

  • Tsotne Zedginidze – Symphony No. 1

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K. 219
    Performed by Lisa Batiashvili

  • Joseph Haydn – Oboe Concerto in C major, Hob. VIIg:C1
    Performed by François Leleux

  • Joseph Haydn – Symphony No. 82 in C major “Bear Symphony”

Tsotne Zedginidze, born in 2009, is a rising star in the classical music world. A scholarship holder of the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation, he has already made significant strides as a pianist and composer. His Symphony No. 1, which received enthusiastic acclaim at its premiere in Salzburg, will be presented to the Berlin audience for the first time. The evening promises to be a memorable experience, combining the talents of established artists with the fresh voice of a young composer.
