ELENE GOGODZE

Elene Gogodze (2003) is a Georgian violist whose work spans solo performance, orchestral leadership, chamber music, and contemporary creation. She studied at the Tbilisi State Conservatory with Nodar Jvania and continues her education at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Sven Arne Tepl and Marjolein Dispa. Her solistic path includes collaborations with the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra, the Tbilisi State Conservatory Orchestra, the LGT Young Soloists, as well as performances and collaborations on new works with contemporary composers. As an orchestral musician, she has appeared with numerous ensembles, serving as principal viola in projects such as the Tsinandali Festival Orchestra, the FAME’s Institute Orchestras, and others. She is also active as a chamber musician and festival artist, having taken part in events including Musica Mundi, Young Euro Classics, the Tsinandali Festival, and the Moritzburg Festival — among many others across Europe. Alongside performing, Elene also composes and develops interdisciplinary projects. A prizewinner at international competitions and a scholarship holder of the Iavnana Foundation, she now continues her artistic path as a member of the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation.
