Giorgi Gigashvili

Giorgi (*2000) received his first piano lessons at Art School in Tbilisi in the class of Bela Prangishvili. He then continued his musical education at Zakaria Paliashvili Central Music School for Gifted Children (class of Lali Rcheulishvili) followed by the Tbilisi State Conservatoire in the guidance of Emeritus Revaz Tavadze. In 2019, Giorgi won Third Prize and the Audience Prize at the Busoni International Piano Competition. He is the winner of this year’s Kissingen PianoOlymp 2021, where he was also awarded the Audience Prize. Since September 2021 he has been studying at Geneva University of Music in the class of Prof. Nelson Goerner.
