NEW TALENT ADDITION: VIOLIST GIORGI MARDALEISHVILI

We are happy to announce a new addition to the foundation’s family of Young Supported Artists: violist Giorgi Mardaleishvili.

Mardaleishvili was a student at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire. Since 2022 he studies with Sebastian Herberg at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW). He studies chamber music with Anais Tamisier, and receives quartet coaching from Peter Schuhmayer and Johannes Meissl, 1st and 2nd Violinists of the Artis Quartet. Mardaleishvili is a frequent collaborator with the Georgian National Music Center and Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed as a soloist and chamber ensemble member in various concerts and festivals throughout Europe. He is Principal Violist of Tsinandali Festival Symphony Orchestra since 2019, where he has worked with conductors including Gianandrea Noseda, Lahav Shani, Manfred Honeck, Charles Dutoit, Vasily Petrenko, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, and Oksana Lyniv. He is member of Rubik Quartet, based in Vienna.
